OUR PROGRAM
At an age where a child’s sensitivity to language is at its peak, Presidio Knolls exposes young children to a Mandarin and English immersion program. Presidio Knolls strives to apply the Reggio Emilia-inspired teaching philosophy. This allows children to explore through play, knowing that all learning is connected, and that every event is an opportunity to gain a new and exciting understanding of the world. This allows children to learn math through music, Mandarin through art, develop their capacity to relate to one another and solve problems together in the playground and during snack time. Here, students can initiate activities and projects, and teachers help to facilitate and supplement these ventures.
Our newly renovated facility is nestled at the entrance of the Presidio, one of San Francisco’s most beautiful natural assets. The school’s location provides many opportunities to integrate the natural environment and outdoor exploration into the curriculum.
Highlights:
- Preschool program runs year-round
- Two, three and five-day programs available
- Classroom hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Extended care available: beginning at 7:30 AM, ending at 6:00 PM
- Ages: 2.9 – 5 years old (preferably potty trained)
